About Us
Oakwood Art Studio is a vibrant and inclusive creative space offering drawing, painting, and craft classes for all ages and abilities.
Studio hours will be Wednesday through Sunday with classes and workshops held 3 days per week. Classes will have an average of 8 students per class taught by experienced instructors.
In addition to our regular studio offerings, we will host a variety of events, workshops, and parties that will support downtown initiatives. (E.g. Septemberfest and Witches Night Out). These gatherings are designed to inspire and engage artists, offering unique opportunities for learning, networking, and celebrating creativity.
Art supplies, artwork, project kits, and art-related gifts will be for sale as well as seasonal items

Beat the Holiday Blues With Four Painting Classes!
Join us this December for a series of four inspiring painting classes led by award-winning artist Kim Kwaz McKerracher. With over 25 years of painting experience and a 44-year career as a nurse, Kim brings a unique blend of creativity to
her teaching.
When: Every Thursday in December, 1–3 PM
These two-hour, instructor-led sessions will guide you through the techniques of Impressionism, tonalism, and color mixing, offering hands-on experiences to spark your creativity. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, you'll feel right at home.
As Kim says, “Don’t be afraid to try acrylic painting—you might just discover a new hobby!”
$35 for individual classes or $100 for all four.
Pet Portrait Workshop - 6:30pm-8:30pm

Create lasting memories! Acrylic on canvas (10”x10”).
Please email a clear image of a pet or any animal of your choice. This will be transferred to a canvas ready for you to paint. Also available as a private party!

A Holiday Adventure Awaits! Join us for a hands-on class where you and your family or friends can craft, animate, and celebrate together using iStopMotion and polymer clay, paper, and found objects. All materials provided or bring your own toys or Lego.

Saturday December 28th 10-12pm
Join us at Oakwood Art Studio for an afternoon of imagination and hands-on fun.
In this engaging 2-hour class, design your own board game, complete with unique pieces and rules using a variety of materials—paint, polymer clay, and paper. Whether you prefer to work independently or collaborate with a friend or family member, this class is perfect for all ages and skill levels.
All materials are included, and the cost is $20 per participant. Let your creativity play!
